That's not my superhero: his cloak is too silky

That's not my superhero: his web is too sticky

That's not my superhero: her lasso is too rough

That's not my superhero: his claws are too hard

That's not my superhero: his wheelchair is too sparkly

That's my superhero: his bicycle is so shiny

If you haven't a clue what I'm on about, this series of books is invading our home (so far: Robot, Train, Kitten, Monster, Penguin, Reindeer). .

We've got Lion and Dinosaur. Dinosaur in particular annoys me. The main problem with that dinosaur isn't that it has bumpy teeth. It's that it's a tyrannosaurus and you're looking for a stegosaurus. You *don't* start by examining the teeth.

Especially with plesiosaurs. You can tell the difference between a plesiosaur and a stegosaurus before you're close enough to assess texture.

And if you're trying to tell the difference between a tyrannosaurus and a stegosaurus, you preferably do it by not getting close enough to see the teeth clearly!

They are known generically in our family as 'the that's not my amphibious landing craft books'.

Some girlfriends of mine celebrated another of our friend's birthday by making a very rude card, complete with bits of sparkly wool entitled 'that's not my minge'.

In case you are worried - she cried laughing.

I'm obviously missing something, because I don't know which superheros have bicycles (except Fanf, obviously, who I'm sure is a superhero to Charles).

I think I'd want the Lion book. Nose is too squishy? AWWW!

It's possible that both are right... I mean, have you ever seen Tony and Bicycle Repair Man in the same place at the same time?

Well, he'd never let you see him repair his own bike, would he? That would be a dead giveaway!

First thing I thought of, I have to confess, was this one.

Is this what the story in Discworld "That's not my Cow" is based on? Or did that come first?

That's not my space station: that's a moon!

Oh, somebody has to do that...

That's not my moon, its surface is too cheesy.

That's not my moon, its crater is too superlasery.

That's not my moon, it's a sodding planet. etc.

True, but this way round is funnier because then you imagine a Tie fighter fleeing towards a moon and crashing into it while the heroes watch.
